We were so disappointed to cancel our March production of California Suite which was scheduled for the week in which lockdown was enacted.

The set was built and everything was in place but the safety of our members and of the public was of course our priority.  We aim to be rescheduling that one during 2021.

As there is still so much uncertainty coupled with the complexities of organising mass gatherings, we have decided not to attempt a production in October this year or January 2021.

The society will be concentrating its efforts on March 2021 when we hope to offer Talking Heads by Alan Bennett.  Many of our members will have enjoyed these on television earlier this year and we hope that our loyal audience will be pleased to support us when the time comes.  Let’s hope that the restrictions will be eased by then.

The VA has put in a huge amount of work to make the village hall safe for use and will ensure that we have plenty of drama volunteers on hand to make sure that you rehearse and perform within a carefully risk managed environment.

Later this year we hope to engage with our audiences to obtain feedback on future productions, but we will hold off until the picture is clearer.
